Fred's Downtown Philly Hulen, a popular eatery known for its delicious cheesesteaks, has unfortunately closed its doors. Located in the heart of downtown, this beloved establishment has been a go-to spot for locals and visitors alike. The owner Shane Ogeary is the man to see of you want really flavorful delicious food!! He took his time with us and helped explain the menu and all it has to offer. Which is A LOT!! The food is amazing! Salty, savory, spicy and cheesey punches you in the mouth with every bite! The portions are big and the prices are more than fair!! The atmosphere is welcoming along with the staff! The place was clean and cozy with an old diner feel where you can watch your food being made on the huge flat grill top! They even have an insane food challenge called The Liberty Bell Challenge! We will definitely come back!! They are currently moving to another location so Shane let us know we can look them up on Facebook and see when and where they move to!! I can't wait to see the new restaurant!

Dude! This place is soooo gooood!! My wife and I were cravin' a cheese steak so we googled and this place came up. The atmosphere is kinda like a sports bar, dim and cozy. The staff were excellent! Friendly, talkative, and efficient. The food is amazing! Lots of varieties, excellent fries, ooey gooey, cheesy, drippy deliciousness! This is my new go to spot for cheesesteak! Highly recommend!

This place opened up a year or so ago and it was great. Wonderful sandwiches and generous portions. Then they closed. After being closed for awhile they opened back up and this was my first trip back there since they opened up. Now the portion sizes are ridiculously small and the prices are the same. Just 2 sad looking sandwiches. 1 was a hoagie and the other was a cheesesteak. Jersey Mikes is better and I hate to say that because I’d rather support local, small businesses, but the value isn’t there. ***UPDATE*** Since the review was posted I reached out to the owner after her response and she agreed that the sandwich I was served didn't meet their expectations either. I will chalk this up to being a rare occurrence and not their typical fare. I look forward to trying it again and giving it another shot. The owner is a nice lady and I hope that they do succeed.

Look no further! Fred's makes some down right amazing Philly cheese steaks!! All the times I've been in to try a new cheese steak I haven't been disappointed. Fries are always crispy and everything is made fresh. I'd definitely recommend trying this place out.

$15 for a #4 double meat Philly & a drink. Great price in my opinion. I mean just look at the meat! It taste just as delicious as it looks. Amazing Philly in texas. Glad I found it on my travels.

This place was so good. I got the Italian hoagie 10 inch and wife had chicken Philly. We got Cajun fries and spicy mozzarella sticks(they don't carry regular) everything was good. There spicy is spicy. Great customer service when I went in and picked it up. Would recommend this to everybody we're definitely going back

I used to go to Philly's Best for a good cheese steak but there are none close by me now, so I decided to try this place. They are extremely generous on their portions as you can see from the photo. I ordered extra whizz on mine, but it seemed to turn into a greasy mess that soaked into the paper wrapping. That's really my only complaint, but I'd still come back, the sandwiches are really good.

I had a good Philly here. Good fries too. A 6" with fries and a large drink was $10.19. I like the price. The people that work here are very cool. Place: clean. People: nice. Food: good. Price: sweet. --------------------- Eat here!
